The guy sitting on the stoep with his girlfriend and trying to impress her with his Italian vocabulary – In a VERY heavy Afrikaans accent he reads the words off a paper napkin: “Cap-pu-cino”, “Mac-chi-ato” whispering it into her ear and getting her all excited. It ends with her responding with a heavy accent and a seductive look: “Oh Henry, I love it when you talk foreign.”

Well, 2 weeks ago we got to take a road trip all over the Cape Peninsula in The REAL thing! A little BMW Isetta from 1958! Yes, it is a REAL BMWyou! We had such a fun day in this little Naartjie and if I did not have ears my smile would have gone right around my face! :)))

First we took a drive over Kloofnek to test the waters – we made it over the mountain! Phew! Various photo opportunities presented itself in Camps Bay & Sea Point – thereafter a quick coffee in De Waterkant followed by a road trip to Franschoek at 60km/h on an ominously cloudy day – and here is the funny part – NO lights & NO wipers! We were told to ‘just use your hands’. Right!
